Swim:  .93mi / 1,500m Interactive Map Printable PDF

Athletes will keep the first and last buoys on their right as they swim this rectangular swim course, with all other buoys kept on their left.  Starting and finishing at the Boulder Beach South Access Ramp, athletes will swim slightly right out to the first buoy, then follow the counter-clockwise course.  Olympic athletes will turn left at the 2nd green buoy.  Kayaks, sea doos, boats & lifeguards will be in the water to support all athletes. If you need a rest, while in the water, waive your arms or simply swim to the nearest kayak. You may hold on to any vessel without penalty as long as there is no forward propulsion. If you need to cut your swim short for any reason, let the water support team member know, and they will bring you in to shore.

Runners will exit the bottom of transition (where they entered from the swim), and will make a hard right onto the trail.  Follow the trail out to a well marked right hand turn, then up to another right onto the paved road.  At about the 1.5 mile point, runners will turn left onto the oncoming shoulder of the Boulder Beach South Access Road.  NOTE:  Cyclists will more than likely be coming in as runners are heading out, so please be sure to stay inside the cones.  After about .2 mi, runners will turn left onto the River Mountains Loop Trail and will continue for approximately 1.3 miles before turning around and returning they way they came.  There will be 3 aid stations on this course, at or near miles 1, 2 and 3, allowing for 6 opportunities to fuel up!
