Directions to Sand Hollow State Park: From I-15, take the Hurricane exit (Exit 16). Travel east on Hwy 9 for about four miles to Sand Hollow Road and then turn right. Travel south for about three miles and turn left at the park entrance.

Parking Information - Sand Hollow State Park will no longer allow cars to park outside the gate entrance. All athletes and spectators will be required to park inside, and no shuttles will be offered this year. Park Rangers will be selling park passes at packet pick up from 5-7pm on Friday (cash only) and at the main entrance of the park all day Friday and Saturday morning. We encourage you to purchase your passes in advance to avoid the lines. Park passes are $10 per vehicle for up to 8 people, and $4 for each additional passenger thereafter. Walk-ins, bicyclists and motorcyclists will be charged $4. Annual park passes will also be accepted.
This one-day park pass will allow you to enjoy all the other activities Sand Hollow has to offer after the race is over. Enjoy fishing, FREE stand up paddle boarding provided by DIG Paddlesports or boating on the Reservoir in the afternoon. Explore the dunes of Sand Mountain on an off-highway vehicle, then RV or tent camp at the new campground and you’ll fall in love with southern Utah’s favorite destination!
Awards / Results - The top 3 overall and division winners will be awarded in the Sprint and Olympic Triathlon and Duathlon. The top 3 overall will be awarded in the 5K. and results will be posted in the following groups. All finish times will be calculated using the appropriate gun time so please BE SURE YOU START IN THE CORRECT WAVE.

Host City – A big thank you goes out to the city of Hurricane for hosting the Sand Hollow and Kokopelli Triathlons each year. We are making an effort to bring the local scene of Hurricane to you on race day, with sponsors like DIG Paddle Sports, Lin’s, Barista’s and more!

For a more intimate look at Hurricane’s history visit the Hurricane Valley Pioneer Heritage Park and Museum. You can take a walk to learn about the area’s historic buildings and get directions to the Hurricane Canal Trail. The Museum is located at 35 W State St. and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Water Temperature – The water at Kokopelli is expected to be in the high 70s. Wetsuits are NOT strongly recommended. A final decision on whether wetsuits will be allowed on race day will depend on the water temp taken the morning of.
