You may purchase more beer coupons by donating $2 per coupon to the non-profit beer sponsor, Your Cause Sport. You must be 21 or older to redeem these coupons. There will be police officers and security to ensure that everyone is overage and not drinking outside of the beer designated area. If you are caught drinking your own alcohol or underage drinking, you will be escorted from the park and will face consequences put in place by the City of Boulder Police Department.

Volleyball Individual  – If you would like to be assigned to a team, you can chose this option and we will place you in a team of 3. If you have a team of two or 3, you can chose this option and we will complete your team for you! Please remember to type in the same Team Name when you register.

Volleyball Team  – If you have a team of 4-5, you can chose Volleyball team registration. Only one team member needs to register, but every member must come to registration to sign-in and show an ID. Each team can receive a maximum of 8 beer coupons (4+ players).

Boulder ReservoirYou are prohibited from bringing your own alcohol inside of the park on the 4th of July. All participants must abide by the rules implemented by the Boulder Reservoir at all times. No glass is allowed. No dogs are allowed. For spectators and other non participants, you will need to pay your separate admission to the park. Please review all other Boulder Reservoir Rules Here.

Parking – The Boulder Reservoir gate will be open to athletes at 6:00am on race morning. There is plenty of parking at the Res, but please account for unexpected parking or traffic delays. Non participants will have to purchase their own entry to the park. If you are unable to drive your vehicle at the end of the day, you may leave your vehicle at the Boulder Reservoir overnight

Run Aid Stations – There will be aid stations located at every mile on the course.

Timing – Flatirons Event Specialists will be timing Earn Your Independence 5K & 1 Mile. Timing mats will be positioned the finish line.

Bib Transfers – As noted in the waiver that was signed upon completion of registration, bibs are non-transferable and cannot be transferred from one person to another. Your bib provides us with very important information identifying you. This extends to purposes including our medical team, scoring and timing. Transferring bibs would compromise these processes severely. We appreciate your cooperation with honoring this important requirement. Violation of this rule may prohibit you from participating in all future BBSC events and banned from all USATF sanctioned events. Thank you for your understanding.

Awards / Results - The top 3 winners will be awarded and results will be posted in the following groups. All finish times will be calculated using the appropriate gun times. Results will continually be updated throughout the day. Final results and splits will be posted online at onlineraceresults.com by the end of the day.

Lost & Found – A Lost & Found will be available at the Flatirons Timing Tent located near the finish line. Any items retrieved from the course will be made available for two weeks after the event. After the two week claim period, items will be donated. Please contact info@bbsctri.com to schedule the return for your lost (and found) item. Shipping charges may apply.

Zero Waste – Earn Your Independence is a zero waste event. Please dispose of all trash and recyclable containers properly. Keep the Res clean by depositing cigarette butts and other waste in appropriate waste containers. Leaving litter on the beach or park grounds is prohibited.

Volunteers – Volunteers help support you from the minute you pick up your packet to the time you cross the finish line and beyond. Volunteers are the key to making our races successful. Tell your friends & family about our volunteer program! Click Here to visit our volunteer page. All volunteers receive a commemorative shirt and more!

Event Survey – We want to hear about your experience at Earn Your Independence. Shortly after the event, you will receive an email with a link to an online survey that will ask you questions about your participation in the event. The information gathered from this survey will help us continue to provide you with the best possible race experience in future years. Thanks in advance for your participation in this important process.
